It has been a week since the opening of Geeks ‘n Nerds and if you haven’t paid a visit yet, now is the time.

I am featuring the creations by Katat0nik and Izzie’s at GNN, both are wonderfully geeky and unique. The oversized glasses by Izzie’s are my October fashion statement, they are tres geeky and I love it! Katat0nik brought out these unique USB chokers gacha set and my inner geek manifested herself once I attached one of the chokers. I simply knew I had to feature them on my blog!

Furthermore, I am showcasing this lovely bistro set by CHEZ MOI which you can play for at the upcoming round of The Gacha Garden.

The Gacha Garden will open her efflorescent gates on November 1st. There will be a variety of gacha goods by Second Life top designers. Come and try your luck!

Martian chronicles

I was recently browsing goodreads again in the hopes of finding a new literary masterpiece to add to my dreadfully long to read-list when I stumbled upon quotes of The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradburry. The story resembles a possible future of mankind. To summarize, it ‘chronicles the colonization of Mars by humans fleeing from a troubled and eventually atomically devastated Earth, and the conflict between aboriginal Martians and the new colonists.’ (quoted from Wikipedia). I find it quite comical that the book was written and published around the late 1940s to early 1950s. Mind you that is more than half a century ago and we, as self-proclaimed innovative and intelligent human beings, have merely touched the surface of the extraterrestrial. Books like these still amuse us and serve with the purpose of entertainment, though it is undeniable that we are getting closer to turning it into reality every single day.

By any means, the book has most definitely earned its spot on my to-read list as it has also inspired me for this very blog post.

To further embrace the extraterristrial vibes, I have decided to showcase a few of my finds at this years Geeks ‘n Nerds event. Starting with this radio by … and quirky lamp from HEXtraordinary, both truly being out of this world! (Badum tss…).

Adorability is a must for a martian girl like me, therefore I have added this galactical dress by NOMI, currently available at The Kawaii Project and some geeky-cute props by Les Sucreries de Fairy, which you can once again find at GNN. To finish the look, I am wearing a simply otherworldly hairstyle by the wonderful Mello.

Her song will carry you home on the wind

We Love Roleplay offers crème de la crème in regards to fantasy and roleplay products on Second Life. Each month offers a variety of magical and whimsical goodies.

Today I am featuring the wonderful outfit by Una in a lovely shade of mint. The ensemble reminded me of a guardian angel, which led up to the concept of this particular image. Coincidentally, Q-Poses also brought out the perfect pose for this idea. I finished the look with a sacred weapon provided by Violetility, soon to be available at Geeks ‘n Nerds.

and her song will carry you home on the wind
to another sky filled with ethereal beauty
unfolding and love everlasting.”
