Little Branch is one of my favorite brands for trees and other flora. Their latest release is the “Spring Blossoms Tree”, which can be found at the June round of Limit8. Cari McKeenan (owner of the Little Branch) kindly sent me a review copy of this beautiful blossom tree and I had a lot of fun playing around with it. Continue reading →
Bloom is a springtime market and gacha grove, brought to you by Prism Events. I made a boho inspired composition using a couple of Bloom exclusives. My inspiration for today’s photo comes from a song called Do It For Love by P-Holla. Continue reading →
I slightly transformed my avatar with the new Catwa head applier from Insol at Uber. I am wearing the ‘Honey’-tone for the very first time and I am quite fond of the new look. I always love how white looks against darker skin tones, therefore I chose to wear a white ruffled tank from Le Fil Casse. Continue reading →
I tried a couple of new things with photo editing today and was surprisingly happy with the end results. It’s not perfect by any means, but it was yet another learning point. This year has been a journey so far, photography- and blog wise at least. I have had so much fun experimenting with new editing methods and trying out new things in regards to my blog and style. “When you’re alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go downtown
When you’ve got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares” – Petula Clark, Downtown
Believe it or not, but I have a lowkey obsession with the 1950’s and 1960’s. Audrey Hepburn and Twiggy have been my style icons for the longest of times, though I am sure you would not be able to tell from this specific photo. Continue reading →
This photo brings up yet another one of my childhood memories. I used to live in a grand villa in Amterdam where I baked all kinds of sweet treats and desserts together with my mother and sister. After my sister moved out of the house, it became a bit of a tradition to bake something sugary whenever I came around her place. We called ourselves the ‘fabulous baker sisters’. Continue reading →
Shiny Shabby‘s December theme was Mechanical Christmas, which is a rather unique holiday theme. Naturally, this round is filled with gears, top hats and all kinds of steampunk essentials. I am featuring the decor set from Mori. by Zigana. Continue reading →
A great thing about photography is that there is always space for collaboration. I recently got together with my dear friend Exis to shoot a photo of this wonderfully cozy outfit by MSS, which you can currently find at On9.
This month’s theme for On9 is Grand Holiday Party. It is a round filled with glitz and glam and it’s simply fabulous. Check out the shopping guide on the On9 blog for a full overview of the December exclusives.
Bellissima is the Italian word for lovely or beautiful. When I heard the word for the first time I automatically thought of Anabelle Marquis and her undeniably lovely blog, Bellessima (clever puns!).
Languages truly are a wonderful phenomenon. Words are merely a mashup of characters with a given meaning, though there is so much depth and beauty to behold within them. Is it not special how we associate traits to languages, how French is seen as romantic and German as coarse. Furthermore there is the development of languages. How one general language, Latin, has branched itself into a variety of unique and beautiful sets of grammar and vocabulary is a wonder that never ceases to amaze me.
“Language tethers us to the world; without it we spin like atoms.”
